Everyone feels anxious or nervous once in a while. That is normal. But being extremely anxious or worried on most days for 6 months or longer is not normal. This is called "generalized anxiety disorder." The disorder can make it hard to do everyday tasks.
Generalized anxiety disorder is just 1 anxiety disorder. There are others, such as panic disorder and phobias.
People with extreme or severe anxiety feel very worried or "on edge" much of the time. They can have trouble sleeping or forget things. Plus, they can have physical symptoms. For instance, people with severe anxiety often feel very tired and have tense muscles. Some get stomach aches or feel chest "tightness."
Move your body – Exercise can help many people feel less anxious. Even gentle forms of exercise, like walking, are good for your health.

People with adult ADHD struggle with inattention, impulsivity, and restlessness. ADHD can make it hard to do everyday tasks. Adults with untreated ADHD are more likely to experience mood disorders (depression), anxiety, substance use, and trouble controlling their emotions.
Both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for ADHD and medications are effective in treating ADHD in most cases. Our provider will work with you to create a plan specific to your needs and your motivations. Together we can help you learn to manage time, plan, remember things, and be more organized.

Post-traumatic stress disorder, or "PTSD," is a condition that can happen after people see or live through a trauma. A trauma is an intense event that involves serious injury or death, or the chance of serious injury or death. This can include medical events, such as a heart attack, surgery, or being in the intensive care unit ("ICU").
PTSD can cause nightmares, upsetting memories, anxiety, and other symptoms.
Not everyone who sees or lives through a trauma will get PTSD. We do not yet know why some people get PTSD and others don't.
These symptoms can start right after the trauma. If they last longer than 3 days, they could be symptoms of a related condition called "acute stress disorder" (ASD). If they last longer than a month, they could be symptoms of PTSD. But sometimes, symptoms of PTSD start years later. They often affect a person's job, relationships, or daily life.
Symptoms of PTSD can come and go. They might return when people are under stress or see or hear something that reminds them of the trauma.
While we do not currently offer traditional hour-long trauma-focused therapy sessions, we can help you decrease the symptoms of PTSD in several ways.

Compulsions are typically performed in response to obsessions, often according to rules that must be applied rigidly. Most individuals with OCD have both obsessions and compulsions. OCD can make it hard for you to work, study, or do everyday tasks.
Peoplel with OCD are more likely to struggle with depression and anxiety than people who do not have OCD.
